Lucas Gándara

The short version, and where to dig deeper.

I am a master in Software and Computer Engineering from Universidad de los Andes, with a rich background in web development. My expertise spans a variety of programming languages, frameworks, and technologies, including React, TypeScript, Angular, and Python. My most recent work focuses on delivering modern web experiences and adopting AI-first development practices.

Beyond web development, I have a strong foundation in robotics — practical experience with the ROS and ROS2 frameworks, demonstrated in my master’s thesis where I developed a self-driving algorithm using TD3 for a TurtleBot3 mobile robot in Gazebo simulation. That project pushed me to integrate complex systems end-to-end and remains a touchstone for how I think about autonomous systems.

I currently live in Bogotá, Colombia.
